I got my learner's permit today. I have been old enough to get it since the end of November. The test was mostly easy. I suppose that it would have been hard if I had not studied before I took it. I missed 2 out of 5 that I was allowed to miss. The first part was on the signs. There are 10 questions on that part, and you aren't allowed to miss any of those. The second part was on the laws or statistics. I was allowed to miss 5 out of the 25 questions.

Today, I got to try out a 5 megapixel camera. It was worth about $800. My Algebra II teacher actually let me take it home to mess around with. It can hold about 20 minutes of video with a 256 MB disk. I messed around with the white definition. I told the camera that pink was white, and when I took pictures with it, everything was sort of Matrix green. It is a fun piece of technology. I didn't have the software that comes with it, so when I hooked it up to my computer, Windows XP detected it as a mass storage device, and I was able to transfer files that way. I downloaded Quicktime so that I could play the movies that I recorded on the camera. The camera also had a microphone and a speaker.

It has been confirmed that every student in the 10th - 12th grade in my school will be required to have a laptop next year. :) The school will have a wireless access point in each building. We will not have to ever hand in a handwritten assignment! I (as you can tell) am very excited becase I really enjoy computers.
