Yesterday, When I attempted to log on to the computer at school, I got a message that said my account had been disabled. I asked the librarian about it, and she in turn asked the network lady. The network lady said they found something on in my userspace that they didn't like. She wouldn't tell me what.

Today, I was called to the assistant principle's out of my Spanish class right before I was to give a presentation. The network lady and my assistant principle were in the office. They told me that there were 3 files that they didn't like. The first was an html document that had a filename of "tunneling putty". The second was a shortcut to Remote Desktop Connection, a program that was already on the computer. The third, and most likely to get me in trouble was a program called putty. They didn't know that I had gotten to my home computer, apparently, and I suppose I could have lied and gotten out of the whole thing, but I don't do things like that. They didn't like that I could tunnel out of the network, even though this is what happens anytime anyone visits a secure site such as Hotmail or Yahoo Mail. They don't seem to know much about how web browsers use the network (though I could know more myself). I explained why I did it (to be able to get files from home without doing the floppy disk thing), and they didn't really care. They said that they have to get their network engineers to see how much (if any) damage has been done. I know that none had been done. They said that I can get suspended for doing what I did, but they can't determine how severely I will be punished until they see what has been done. I was extremely scared throughout the process.
